Working 100% electric, 0% emission
Custers ® Hydraulics BV from Venray was the first platform manufacturer in 2010 that built a 100% electric driving access platform. Now, in July 2011, we introduced a further development, resulting in a hybrid platform. It is a Taurus Custers ® T265-12,5H platform mounted on a DAF FA LF 45 EEV. This truck is powered by the cleanest possible diesel EEV and the access platform works fully electrically to an additional battery pack. The platform can work freely through the PTO or the battery. There is a battery charge indicator built with a clear reserve indicator. The clever construction of the hybrid drive system leaves the load volume unchanged. The noise of the access platform is 10dB lower than that of the truck.
Some advantages when working electric;
-
No exhaust gas emissions.
-
Saving of 5 litres of diesel per operating hour.
-
Approximately € 6.60 saving in fuel per hour PTO.
-
Every hour electric of work saves 13 kg of CO2 emission.
-
Using the platform 6 hours a day (200 days per year) saves:
-
€ 7.900, - Diesel
-
15,500 kg of CO2 emission.
Because the electric drive is only used when the platform is moving, the actual emission is 80% less. The additional investment for the hybrid package has a return of up to 2 years. The batteries can be charged by the alternator on the truck and with a converter (230V).

Hybrid features:
- Working 100% electric (platform)
- 80% less emission when working the platform
- Savings per hour : 15l diesel & 13kg CO2
- Charging the batteries by altenator & 230V
- Available for platform until 16m working height
- Min weight vehicle 5000kg
